We have made it to the end of 2016! This week is full of going here and there and having fun together. Today we enjoyed performaces by the Upland Terrace band members and the Skyline Troubadours. Tomorrow we will meet with our buddies and exchange gifts. The first graders will be watching The Polar Express Wednesday morning. Thank you to Mr. Tate for offering to help during the movie!! We will have a class party during the last hour of the day on Thursday. Thank you to Mrs. Hinckley, Ms. Tate, and Ms. Michaelis for putting together a great party!
It definitely feels too early to talk about January and the rest of 2017, but we will be celebrating the 100th day of school in a mere 18 school days. I cannot believe that we're almost 100 days smarter! First grade celebrates with a parade and collections of 100 things, among other fun activities. Your child may come to school dressed as a 100-year-old version of themselves that day. I know that takes some creativity and planning, so I wanted to give you some time to think it over.
Thank you so much for everything so far! I am one lucky teacher to have the support of the community. I hope everyone has a relaxing and fun break. See you in 2017!
Have a wonderful week!
